Yvonne McCormack Lyons

Founder

Yvonne McCormack Lyons is the Founder of WIFF-TV and the two-time award winning Women’s International Film & Arts Festival, which she has presented in New York City, Miami, Liverpool, England and Medellin, Colombia over the past 18 years. 


She has been an advocate of women’s rights and has been invited to speak internationally about the lack of diversity of women behind the camera and how that impacts the images of women and girls on screen.


She's the recipient of multiple awards, a former Board Member of UN Women, and has been creating programs focussed on empowering women for more than 20 years.

Christine Panourgias

Online Manager

Christine loves working with brands to elevate their online presence & authority | Agency Owner / Founder - CPSD | Co-Organizer of Get In The Ring Ottawa, and Sponsor of the Women’s International Film Festival. 

 

It's not B2C or B2B, it's H2H (Human to Human),  and that's why Christine believes in creating initiatives that tell the right stories and engage the right people.


Victoria Rebecca

Film Coordinator

Victoria is a University of Central Florida alum. She graduated with a Bachelors in Film and a minor in Creative Writing, with a specific concentration in Script Writing.


Her passions in life are film and storytelling, although her love of filmmaking  has also expanded into a love of photography, which she is also currently dabbling in. Her favorite films are:  The Breakfast Club, Pretty Woman (pretty much anything with Julia Roberts), and Thelma & Louise.


Monika Goldbach Bridgers

Social Media/Press Volunteer

Monika is currently studying film Production at Lynn University in South Florida where she is a member of the Art Club. She has been a volunteer for WIFF since the summer of 2021. 


Her favorite films are: Seven Psychopaths, Howl’s Moving Castle and American Psycho.


Ashantee Augustine

Events/Volunteer

Ashantee is a sophomore at Lynn University, where she is working towards her BFA in Film Production.


She began her career as a filmmaker four years ago when she began making short films for school projects. She then transitioned into making her own films. 


For the past few years, she has been gaining experience and expanding her knowledge of the film industry. She's written a feature script and multiple shorts; one that even got quarter finalist in the "Your Script Produced" screenwriting competition.

Ojobayo Lyons

Volunteer

Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida Ojobayo has been performing since the age of six doing theater, and performing as an African drummer, dancer and storyteller.


He recently landed the lead role in SuperUser Do, a TV pilot featured at the North Fork TV Festival in Long Island, NY and on News 12 Plus television in New York City. He also plays the lead role in the upcoming short films Minetta and Dinner For Job both expected to be released later in 2022.


He is an acting student at NYU Tisch School of the Arts studying acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute for Theater and Film. He is also an actor, singer, dancer, writer, musician, and model.
